Mr. Smith is a founder and partner of Fabulous Investors, LLC, which was formed in January 2004. Mr. Smith served as Chief Operating Officer of Alpha Corporation from December 2001 to July 2003. Prior to joining Alpha, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Beta, Inc. from September 1999 until it was acquired by Gamma Systems, Inc. (formerly Delta Inc.) in January 2001. From June 1996 to September 1999, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Epsilon Data Systems. Prior to that, Mr. Smith was a Senior Vice President at Zeta Data Systems Corporation from November 1984 to June 1996. Mr. Smith has served as a director of Kappa Systems, Inc. since April 1996. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Alma Mater University and is Chair of Favorite Charity Foundation. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Commentary

You see paragraphs like this in many a proxy statement where the company introduces its director nominees.  There’s nothing formally “wrong” with it, but it is boring to read and hard to pick out all the places the nominee has worked.
